About Miriam Aaronson
A native New Yorker, Miriam Aaronson is now a Long Island-based artist. After years of drawing without instruction, she began formal training twenty years ago, beginning with water colors. She then moved on to pastels and, more recently, acrylics. She has exhibited at juried shows, art fairs and libraries, and has won several first prizes and lesser awards for her paintings.
In addition to still lifes, she is excited by street scenes, landscapes and buildings, the more tumbledown the better. Her travels in Italy, France and England have served as rich sources for the subject matter that interests most.
